This article surveys the use of Arthurian literary names by real people in various medieval European culture. I have intended this survey to be as comprehensive as my sources allow, and am interested in any additions to the data here.
At this point, I have focused primarily on the most popular names from the Arthurian romances, e.g. Lancelot, Guenevere. As I have time (and examples!) I will extend this list. I have listed the names from the various Arthurian romances and literature alphabetically below. Clicking on a name will bring you to a page of examples of this name used by real people in various medeival cultures, grouped by language/culture and then by date.
