The following are names of the high sheriffs and under-sheriffs of Glamorganshire in Wales between 1571 and 1624. Many of these men were sheriff or under-sheriff more than once; if it is clear that an entry is for the same person as listed earlier, I have listed all the years for which they served. It is interesting to note how many fathers and sons and brothers served together as high sheriff and under-sheriff. There are 129 different men listed here; of them, William, John, and Thomas are the three most popular given names, accounting for 14.7%, 13.9%, and 12.4% of the total given names respectively.
