Ordinary language is all right.

One could divide humanity into two classes:
those who master a metaphor, and those who hold by a formula.
Those with a bent for both are too few, they do not comprise a class.

Le journal quotidien: pour le petit déjeuner, le curry avec du riz. Lu plusieurs pages de Bergson. Ecouté Niun Niggung et Thin Lizzy. Le linge. Travail sur le manuscrit, le Ier chapitre. Pour le dîner, des burritos. Quelques leçons de français. La nuit, Monk—et ces mots. Puis lisant Rodowick. Et un peu de télé, comme d'habitude. Avant de dormir, peut-être Fantômette, si pas trop fatigué.
