The following names are taken from H.A. Hanley & C.W. Chalklin, The Kent Lay Subsidy Roll of 1334/5 (WWW: Kent Archaeological Society, 2004). The majority of the men's names in this tax list are heavily abbreviated. For the purposes of this article, we have therefore focused just on women's names. (A future project may catalog the surnames.)
