Ordinary language is all right.
One could divide humanity into two classes:
those who master a metaphor, and those who hold by a formula.
Those with a bent for both are too few, they do not comprise a class.
Make anxieties routine.
Confirm an anxiety.
Say what someone would really mean.
Talk bad about the boss behind his back.
Imagine why an underling would say it.
Make doubts hinge on the adjective 'true'.
Impugn concealment; or wonder how we would ever get by without it.
Point out what's not hidden.
Conspire with the reader; let him count himself in.
